Where would this country be without all this socialism?
I find it funny how republicans constantly complain about "wealth redistribution" and "socialism. Then I looked at the "Federal Spending Received Per Dollar of Taxes Paid by State, 2005" that explained the federal tax distribution per states. The figures are astonishing to say the least. Over 90% of states that have a Republicans majority takes in more federal money than they pay in taxes. The majority of the "Blue States" receives less than a dollar from the federal government for each dollar they pay in taxes. Southern states like Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi receives over $1.50 from the fed for every dollar they pay in taxes while states like California, New Jersey, and New York receive less that 80 cents on the dollar. How ridiculous is this? These republicans from all these welfare state are b*tching and moaning about socialism and wealth redistribution? The blue states are basically subsidizing for these same idiots who are doing the most complaining. Since republicans hate "wealth redistribution so much" how about we change the tax code and stop all this wealth redistribution? I am all for it.

dwoodall— what does this have to do with spending? Learn to read before you comment. What this is saying is that people from states like California make more money than people from Mississippi and in turn have to subsidize them with our tax money. Understand? or you need some pictures…

So you’re saying that California, New Jersey and New York spending more than they take in is a GOOD thing, but Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana spending LESS than they take in is a bad thing?

Let me guess…..

La Joya, right?

You mean like Mary Landreau from Louisana getting $100 million in the socialized medicine bill? This must be the biggest payoff for a single vote in American history. Mary is a Democrat for those of you who have trouble reading. Liberalism, its just dishonest.
